Tender Details

The planned upgrade affects two listed aircraft hangars from the 1930s on the southern edge of the Oberschleissheim airfield. These were acquired by the German Museum in 2019 from the Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks. Oberschleissheim Airfield has been ar Airfield used for 100 years, which in the meantime has been used militarily for many decades. The site is currently being used by several parties:

Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks (BImA Munich, BImA Augsburg), Air Squadron of the Federal Police

and the State Police, Federal Forest, Deutsches Museum.

As a preliminary measure, the roof skin including lightning protection of Hall 1802 is to be upgraded and the coating of the

steel girders inside the hall is to be treated as gently as possible and only partially in areas with an unsustainable

surface and corrosion damage.
