Demolition of the Rheinstraße Bridge in Darmstadt, ÖBB Ecological construction support in accordance with the project-specific performance profile (see tender documents) The Rheinstraße bridge was built between 1910 and 1912 and is now in a very good condition after more than 100 years poor structural condition. A thorough repair has not yet taken place. The overall condition can also be described as unsatisfactory based on the results of the structural tests. The condition grade is currently 3.9. For this reason the Rhine road bridge to be replaced with a new building. The overall measure "New construction of the Rheinstraße bridge in Darmstadt" includes the demolition of the existing structure and the replacement construction of the Rheinstraße bridge, including the connecting nodes (road construction). a length of approx. 270m.
