The existing telecommunications infrastructure of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN) is to be modernized and adapted to current technical, organizational and safety-related requirements. When introducing an Innovaphone telephone system, a session border controller is required to ensure the connection to the SIP trunk and any existing ISDN or analogue lines. The session border controller must have a reliable, Ensure a fail-safe and interoperable connection between the network operator, the Innovaphone PBX and other internal communication components. The Audiocodes Mediant 500 is intended as a technical solution because it has the necessary functions in terms of signaling, media processing, security mechanisms and administrative functions.
