Procurement of a LUMO54 (Gowerlabs)

Application

Performing neurofunctional examinations using "Functional Diffusion Optical Tomography (fDOT)" and "Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS)" in healthy and mentally ill subjects of all age groups (infants to seniorsr:inside), both in the laboratory setting and in the field.

Essential requirements

- Coverage of the entire head (neocortex)

- High density of emitters and detectors (optodes) for Functional Diffusion Optical Tomography (fDOT) (at least 100 um to cover the entire head in high density)

- Short-Distance detectors for controlling artifacts

- Measurement of head movements for the examination of potentially restless subjects** (children, elderly) for controlling motion artifacts

- Short preparation times for use with vulnerable groups (infants, elderly, patients)

- Portableity for examinations outside of the laboratory environment of the university

- Low system weight, especially for examinations in small children and the elderly
