The background is the new version of the guidelines for the granting of grants from the Funding program of the Bavarian State Ministry for Education and Culture for the procurement of school mobile devices ("SchulMobE") as well as the increase in the funding budget, which - following on from previous procurement measures - requires a further procurement of Teacher service equipment and rental equipment for students is possible. The subject of the award procedure is the delivery of school-related mobile devices (laptops, notebooks and tablets with the exception of smartphones), the necessary accessories, in particular of input and output devices as well as cases or bags required to protect the devices as well as optional extensions of the statutory warranty. A query in the schools run by the Erlangen-Höchstadt district resulted in a total requirement of 345 teacher service devices and 142 student loan devices.
