The existing measurement equipment at the Institute of Structural Mechanics (ISM) is to be expanded to include measurement technology for the condition recording and monitoring of infrastructure structures (smart health monitoring). The scope of services of the ISM includes: one is the implementation and metrological support of material and component loading tests (with various universal testing machines and on several clamping fields using hydraulic loading technology) at various locations Bauhaus University (testing facility (VTE) at the Bauhaus University). This primarily serves teaching purposes (projects and theses), but the ISM also takes on responsibility for research projects and third-party funded contracts Cooperation partners provide metrological support for short- and long-term monitoring campaigns as well as stress tests. The measuring systems used must therefore meet high standards in terms of universal applicability, mobility, flexibility and modularity Expandability, robustness, long-term stability and user-friendliness are enough. Currently, acceleration sensors from PCB are used in conjunction with universal measurement amplifier systems from National Instruments. Some defects Acceleration sensors should be replaced with identical ones.
