Tender Details

The lending operations in the German National Library are to be largely automated and designed by the compelling presence of staff more independent.

These goals can be achieved through the use of media boxes as follows:

The operation of these boxes should be both self-explanatory and easy to handle, as well as for the employees easy to equip and be useful and easy to manage with regard to the above-mentioned lending processes in order to optimize deployment processes.

This also means that no additional expenses should arise by, for example, an RFID coding or other separate processing of the media in the case of a lending process, since otherwise the benefits of self-service would not expect.

The booking of lending and return takes place in the lending booking system. Interventions in the lending booking system should be largely avoided. The data transmission to such a boxing system usually takes place via a SIP2 interface. This connection to a standardized interface should cause as small as possible IT expenses.
