The subject of the award procedure is the delivery of 55 digital information columns for the “SmartGuide.Ruhr” project. As part of the ERDF funding project SmartGuide.Ruhr, a holistic, barrier-free and multilingual digital visitor, information and Steering platform for the Ruhr metropolis will be created. This includes the procurement and installation of 55 interactive information points at tourist-relevant locations as well as connecting these touch points to the nationwide data and AI ecosystem (DestinationHub.Ruhr from Ruhr Tourismus GmbH, KI-Hub NRW from Tourismus NRW). The RTG is the client and central coordination point for the tender and implementation. It acts on behalf of the tourist partner cities of the Ruhr area. It should therefore be noted that the installation locations of the information kiosks are spread over a wide area and not just in one place. For this purpose, it is important that the delivery of the hardware is coordinated and carried out decentrally. The contractor plans the technical on-site service of the project in such a way that it is as ecologically and economically compatible as possible. In addition, the installation of the information steles depends on technical construction measures and the respective requirements on site plan. The RTG ensures communication between the contractor and the cities.
