Creative area city warehouse - 3305 modular construction The client, Stadtwerk Regensburg GmbH, is planning to convert the former grain storage halls in Auweg in Regensburg into a so-called creative area. The use of the creative area is diverse planned and tailored specifically to the needs of the creative industries in the city of Regensburg. In detail, areas for craft businesses, co-working, office space and an event area with restaurants will be implemented. This work includes the Construction of 7 buildings in modular construction in Halls 4 and 5. The implementation of this project is carried out as part of the funding framework "Model Projects Smart Cities: Urban Development and Digitalization" of the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and construction (BMWSB) (https://www.smart-city-dialog.de/). Consequently, the implementation of the project is also tied to the funding requirements. The federal government supports the Smart Cities model projects (https://www.smart-city-dialog.de/). Municipalities are helping to shape digitalization strategically in the spirit of integrated, sustainable and community-oriented urban development. The Smart Cities model projects develop and test cross-sector digital strategies for this City life of the future.
