Conversion of transformer station - new physics building, building 3335, Hans-Sommer-Straße 10, 38106 Braunschweig
The new building for institutes of physics with a usable area (NUF 1-6) of approx. 4800 m² is being built on Hans-Sommer-Straße. Half of the area in the four-story building is intended for laboratories, measuring and weighing rooms, which are located in the northern part of the building. Other usable areas include office space as well as seminar rooms and lecture halls. A foyer, which connects the floors via an airspace, serves as the main access point. On the ground floor, student workstations expand the foyer and provide access to the green inner courtyard. The technology center extends as the fifth floor over half the building area. Conversion and upgrading of the existing transformer station 34/34 at the TU Braunschweig to ensure the power supply for the new physics building. The scope of services includes the replacement of 2 250 kVA transformers with 2 630 kVA transformers, the adaptation of the medium-voltage switchgear, the expansion of the existing low-voltage main distribution by two 1, 000 A outgoing panels, the renewal of the transformer cable systems including approx....
