In the Construction work on Breiten Weg began in December 2023 (PY 22). After its completion, further development of the adjacent buildings is essential for the success of this measure. The four two-story pavilion buildings built between 1961 and 1964 give the Breiten Weg its current character and have a special architectural and urban development quality. A possible inclusion in the monument register of the state of Saxony-Anhalt was and is still being discussed from time to time. Die Sanierung des Breiten Weg and the subsequent renovation of the former city café are important steps towards the revitalization of Halberstadt's city center.
