Control system for supply and disposal Fraport operates a complex technical infrastructure for supply and disposal at Frankfurt Airport, consisting of systems for the supply of fresh and process water, and for the drainage and treatment of rainwater and water Dirty water as well as for the supply of district heating and cooling. The safe, economical and compliant operation of these systems is necessary to maintain airport operations and to comply with legal and environmental regulations absolutely necessary. The existing control system for monitoring and controlling the supply and disposal systems is based on the WinCC OA process control system and has been successively expanded and adapted over several years. Due to increasing demands on Automation, system integration, data availability and the continuous expansion of the system infrastructure make it necessary to replace the existing control system.
