Building a Citrix infrastructure at the schools of Rhein-Kreis Neuss

Construction of a Citrix infrastructure at the schools of the Rhein-Kreis Neuss The district council of the Rhein-Kreis Neuss has in its S21.12.2016 decided to make extensive investments in the expansion of the existing internal school IT server infrastructure. These measures concern 4 district vocational training centers as well as 7 funding schools, distributed throughout the district. The financing of the measures will come from the funding program "NRW.Bank Good School 2020".

The district council of the Rhein-Kreis Neuss decided in its meeting on 21.12.2016, to carry out extensive investments in the expansion of the existing internal school IT server infrastructure. These measures concern 4 district vocational training centers and 7 funding schools, distributed throughout the district. Financing of the measures is carried outWithin the scope of digitization, a virtual desktop infrastructure in a Citrix environment has to be created at the schools of the Rhein-Kreis Neuss, and the infrastructure is built under the hypervisor VMWare.
For a total of 10, 000 students (inside) and 600 teachers (inside), spread over 11 schools, it is about the new IT infrastructure ermbe able to attend classes with your own Graeten. Tablets with Android and iOS must also be underestimated, as are notebooks with Windows, Linux, MacOS or Chrome OS.
At the four vocational colleges with 85% of the students, the required IT infrastructure must be installed at the respective location. The seven funding schools have to work on a central infrastructureThe central infrastructure in the computing center in Grevenbroich must also act as a backup for the additional IT locations in the four vocational colleges. The centralized infrastructure must allow unified management of the Citrix environment as well as the server hardware of all sites.
It must be-Active Directory must be set up for all schools and every student and teacher must have a personal e-mail address. This e-mail must also be available on your smartphone.
