Practical requirements for the polishing resistance of fine rock formations

The grip development of a road is decisive by the Polierwideration of the used rock formations. The resulting polishing resistance of the rock aggregate mixture is determined by the coarse and fine aggregate size according to their proportions in the rock aggregate mixture and their respective polishing resistance. Broken fine rock formations may only be used in the asphalt base course mix if the polishing resistance of the rock aggregateDeputy coarse rock formation meets the respective requirements. If rocks of differing polishing resistance are used, the calculated polishing resistance of the relevant deliveries must comply with the required Polish Stone Value (PSV). In the calculation, only rock formations with a PSV larger 42 are taken into account. The inclusion of eTherefore, it is not possible to show that coarse rock strata do not meet the requirements of polishing resistance. It has been shown that a transfer of the PSV determined on the coarse aggregate to the sand fraction is not always correct, since the polishing resistance of fine rock formations essentially from the EigThe aim of this research project is the formulation of practical requirement values for the properties of fine rock formations, i. a. to the polishing resistance based on the method of Wehner / Schulze (PWS) to produce non-slip asphalt surface course. The transfer of the polishing resistance (PSV) of the coarse rock to the fine is therenn no longer necessary.

We would like to point out that the contract can only be awarded after the Federal Budget has been passed in 2018.

From an order value of EUR 30 000, the contracting authority will extract from the Federal Office of Justice an excerpt from the Central Trade Register (in accordance with - 150a para 1 Nr. 4 GewO) and evaluate them accordingly. This request is only made to bidders who are in favor of an award decisionbe considered. Universities and non-university research establishments must also submit the "Guarantee statement to avoid inadmissible subsidies and cross-subsidies" (see point 5, List of procurement and contract documents) (from section 4.4 TLN)
