Procurement of Electronic Ticket Printers (EFAD) with itcs function and background system

The contracting authority intends to procure approximately 100 electronic ticket printers (EFAD) in addition to belonging to multi-client background systems and other subsystems for distribution and itcs, inclsive the real-time data connection to the central data hub (ZDD) of Nahverkehrsgesellschaft Baden-Wuerttemberg mbH (NVBW) for the exchange of passenger information data. The eTicket components (KVPS and KVPT) of the distribution system are to be certified by the VDV-ETS.

The client intends to procure approx. 100 electronic ticket printers (EFAD) and their respective maAllanten-capable background systems and other subsystems for distribution and itcs, including the real-time data connection to the central data hub (ZDD) of Nahverkehrsgesellschaft Baden-Wuerttemberg mbH (NVBW) for the exchange of passenger information data. The eTicket components (KVPS and KVPT) of the distribution system must be certified by the VDV-ETS.

By 1.12.2019, aThe ticket is essentially made up of: - ticket printers with on - board computer function,

- itcs with functions for central vehicle monitoring, dispatching measures, connection protection and real - time data collection for real - time passenger information,

interfaces to adjacent systems, such asthe ZDD of the NVBW,

- control of DFI displays with nominal and actual data (the scoreboard will be advertised at a later date), - distribution system for the ticket sales, including eTicketing according to VDV-KA and

- connection to the NVPW regional agency ViP-BW.

The task is specified in a specification sheet and furtherAnnexes.

The VSB infrastructure for real-time information with connection protection and ticket sales will be successively upgraded in the next few years. It is planned to procure up to 100 on-board computers by 2022 through a framework agreement. Starting in December 2019, 25 on-board computers will be procured for the nine contractors (the contractors will be theWinner of the bus tender). The contractors have the opportunity to rent the on-board computers of the VSB for the provision of transport services or to use their own infrastructure. For this reason, only a minimum order quantity of 25 units can be guaranteed so far.

The new system will be procured and operated by the VSB. The contractors are calledMandates connected to the system.

The timetables will be drawn up as part of the call for tenders for the first round trip planning. These schedules are then taken over by the contractors. On this basis, the contractors can create their own circulation planning, and the timetable must not be changed in principle. This planning data is over a VDV-452Transferring the interface to the ITCS system.

The object of the new purchase by the VSB is therefore electronic ticket printer (EFAD) with integrated on-board computer for ITCS functions and passenger information screens. The ITCS (Intermodal Transport Control System) is intended as a client license for the connection of up to 4 transport companies to the central background system (HGS), the KomTicketing:

The purpose is to organize and simplify the exchange of real-time data for passenger information and connection security for the future (city bus companies, regional trains, railways).
