The DB Fernverkehr AG; The Hamburg site is currently planning to procure new bogie and wheelset replacement technology for the Eidelstedt plant.

By procuring this new bogie and wheelset technology based on omnidirectional drive technology for the removal and installation of bogies, wheel sets and UnIn-flight components on the existing series (ICE 1, ICE 2, ICE T, BR 101) and the ICE 4 ensure efficient vehicle maintenance on all 8 track-equipped tracks (track 505 512).
