The Fraunhofer Gesellschaft for the Advancement of Applied Research e. V. would like to have qualified energy audits carried out in accordance with DIN EN 16247 at its sites in order to fulfill the legal requirements of the EDL-G. The company would like to90% of their sites undergo an energy audit, a possible multi-site procedure was ruled out in advance. The introduction of a certified energy management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001 was also ruled out in advance.

The content of the order is the performance of the energy audits demanded by the EDL-G at the individual sites of Fr.aunhofer society. The number of sites to be audited is thus 80 in the project. Erfuellungsort are the individual locations, in addition, are appropriate dates for kick-off meeting, Mile Stone meeting and Aat the headquarters of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft in Munich.
The energy audits are in accordance with the DIN 16247 series of standards; 1-5. An application of ISO 50002 is not envisaged because the audits must meet the national requirements.

The required documents must be published at the latest by the end of the years participation competition. Incomplete documents will lead to the exclusion of the company or group of contractors, indicating the total number of employees and the advertised area. The audits must be carried out by qualified energy auditors. Proof of admission of the auditors In the BAFA program for medium-sized companies, other qualifications are requiredmeet the requirements of the EDL-G. Reference is made in particular to DIN EN 16247-5.
