Tender Details

The Morsleben final storage facility for radioactive waste was built in the former Bartensleben potash and rock salt mine. The emplacement of radioactive waste began in 1971 and ended in 1998. During this period, approximately 37, 000 m³ of weak and medium-level radioactive waste is stored. The decommissioning was applied to the Ministry for the Environment and Nature Conservation of the State of Saxony-Anhalt in the 1990s. For this purpose, a planning approval procedure is carried out. Already in the past A public participation process with scoping procedures was carried out as part of the environmental impact assessment. A discussion meeting took place in 2011. Due to changes in environmental law, obtaining the planning approval decision for to carry out a public participation process again for the decommissioning of the Morsleben final repository. In this context, the BGE needs technical and editorial support in preparing the information required for public participation Documents as well as strategic and psychological preparation and support during the discussion.
