Requested Services:

An international implementation consultant or a consulting consortium shall support the project execution agency (MAPA) in the implementation of the following components:

) Development of an IT platform and integration of databases for the classification and monitoring of agricultural holdings in 4 states of the Amazon with regard to compliance with ecological and social standards (socio-ecological compliance index, management without deforestation)
Promotion of existing initiatives to scale up proof of origin or the traceability of agricultural products (meat, wood, soybeans) and to improve sustainable and deforestation-free value chains
Support for agricultural smallholders in the transition to environmentally friendly or sustainable management in accordance with the requirements of the Brazilian Forest Act (codigo florestal)
The total costs are estimated at approx. EUR 42.5 million, current FC funding contribution EUR 18 million (eventually additional FC finance). The project duration is 5 years.
