The total amount of Initial Financing was 25.8 million US Dollars.
The project subsequently benefited from two successive additional financing in the amount of US$3, 387, 096.7 and US$52.5 million, thus bringing the total amount of the Project to US$81.6870967.
The development objective of the COVID-19 PIU is to strengthen the capacity of the Government of Mali to prevent, prepare for and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The project, after restructuring, has 2 components which are as follows:
Component 1. COVID-19 emergency response
✓ Sub-component 1.1: Support social and behavioral change (“SBC”) measures and community engagement community, among others;
✓ Sub-component 1.2: Improve detection, confirmation, screening, recording and reporting of cases;
✓ Subcomponent 1.3: Strengthen the health system;
✓ Sub-component 1.4: Support the planning, acquisition and deployment of COVID-19 vaccines
Component 2. Implementation management and monitoring and evaluation
✓ Sub-component 2.1: Support in the areas of coordination, supervision, financial management, project communication and awareness raising, procurement and supervision of the implementation of environmental and social instruments ✓ Sub-component 2.2: Provide monitoring
