Tenders are invited for Consultancy for Videography/Cinematography needed.

SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages. As a non-governmental social development organisation we support children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for the rights of children and young people in alliance with a great diversity of partners and donors.

In SOS Children’s Villages International, we believe that investing in innovation and products’ development is not only the right thing to do; it is the smart thing to do. SOS Liberia - Back-End Implementation is a global project whose objective is to digitize the servicing cycle both International and Local sponsorships products. The Project plans to work with a videographer/cinematographer in helping the Fund Development and Communication Team (FDC) produce photo and video contents for desktops and mobile devices. Those contents will be communication tools that the FDC Department will use to effectively communicate the organisation’s goal and children’s achievements with its stakeholders.

About you:

- You have outstanding photography skills;

- You have exceptional videography skills;

- You are excellent at editing photos and videos;

- You have good command of English both written and spoken.

- You possess revious experience in producing photos and video contents;

- You have past experience working with not-for-profit and developmental agencies will be an added advantage;

- You possess proven ability to work in multicultural environment.

What you will be doing: Working under the supervision of the Fund Development and Communications Manager, you will support the project’s roll out and implementation in all SOS Children's Villages in Liberia.

The overall objective of this consultancy is to support the production of media materials including short videos and high resolution photographs that can be used in various sponsorship communications and fundraising platforms.

The Project is therefore seeking the services of a videographer/cinematographer with requisite expertise and experience to assist sponsorship teams in SOS country offices and Children Villages into developing video contents and produce pictures that capture and tell the story of SOS children in 3 mains areas:
- Caring relationships
- Connection with community

- Sharing in personal growth
With guidance from the Fund Development and Communions Team, the consultant
videographer/cinematographer will:
A. Develop a comprehensive plan of action for supporting the team producing the
first wave of contents by November 2018.
B. Help countries in developing video concepts and scenarios.
C. Work with sponsorship counterparts in countries and support with quality control
of all digital assets produced by sponsorship teams; making sure they complete
projects exactly as specified. This may also include correcting all grammar,
punctuation, spelling and other errors (in captions or texts) within copy.
D. Suggest revisions to existing creative; work with SOS Children’s Villages Liberia
on new designs, ensuring they meet SOS brand guidelines and standards.
E. Ensure functionality of videos with test versioning for desktops, mobiles and
tablets before system upload.
F. Provide a final report detailing the process, challenges and prospects with
regards to the videos and photos produced.

3. Deliverables
The following outputs will be expected:
A. Pre content production process:
- A briefing note highlighting preparative work to be undertaken by SOS
Liberia Villages Liberia with regards to photos and videos shooting ahead
of production.
- Training for three (3) SOS employees in the Fund Development and
Communications department in Videography/Cinematography,
1h.30mins daily outlining the process to be utilised in the production and
timelines.
- Participate in sponsorship lab workshop with young people.
B. Videography
- Edit mini videos for village diaries in HD. (4 videos per village 30-seconds
max).
- Edit mini videos for child diaries in HD. (4 videos per child 30-seconds
max).
C. Photography
- Taking and review photographs of both villages.(high resolution)
D. Reports
A final detailed report on the gaps, opportunities and recommendations on future
contents production process plus any other relevant information.
4. Timeframe
The consultant will work with the Sponsorship Coordinators and will engage the
partners in the field after prior communication and discussions with the concerned.
Follow up sessions for filming and video editing will be conducted as appropriate. The
consultant will develop a workable timeline and shooting schedule in consultation with
the FDC Manager/ National Sponsorship Coordinators.
5. Payment
Payments will be made on monthly basis on the following implementations.
- Delivery of briefing note and work plan
- Training of three (3) staffs specialized in videography/cinematography
- Three days training workshop for ten (10) youths in
videography/cinematography
- Editing and delivery of photos and videos contents of both villages
- Submission of final report
