Title : Consultancy Services For Feasibility Study For Accra-Kumasi Transmission Line
Description : The Government of Ghana has received financing from KfW Development Bank towards the cost of the energy sector development and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services for performance of a Feasibility Study, for the 330 kV Accra-Kumasi Transmission Line Project.The 330 kV Accra Kumasi Transmission Project includes construction of transmission lines and the associated substations.The Services required under the Feasibility Study comprise the following main tasks:• Data collection, site investigation and assessment of status and performance of the present 161 kV transmission line connections and substations between Accra and Kumasi;• Elaboration of 330 kV transmission line connection scenarios between Accra and Kumasi to improve network capacity and reliability;• Updating of the transmission system model from GRIDCo (66 kV to 330 kV) and performance of static and dynamic networks analysis of the present network and proposed future connections;• Assessment of connection scenarios, ranking and recommendation based on rudimentary design, cost estimate and estimation of environmental and social implications; • Preliminary line routing, elaboration of design parameters and conceptual design of transmission line and substations for the selected scenario;• Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and Resettlement Action Plan on scoping level;• Cost estimate, financial and economic evaluation and preparation of a bankable feasibility study report.
