The International Bureau for Children's RightsThe International Bureau for Children's Rights (the IBCR or the Bureau) has been working for children's rights for more than 25 years in more than twenty countries in Africa, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East. Through a participatory and sustainable approach, we work with our partners in the field to promote and protect the rights of children, whether they are in contact with the justice system or faced with a humanitarian crisis situation, caused by armed conflict or natural disaster. We are also careful to prevent all forms of exploitation, violence, abuse and neglect of children, particularly for sexual purposes. Listening, participation and child protection are at the heart of all our actions. The Office is based in Montreal and operates in more than 15 countries on three continents, for over 25 years. Three satellite offices are also installed as part of our activities in Burkina Faso, Senegal and Honduras. Our fundamental principles:
Consideration of the best interests of the child
Non-discrimination
The right to life, survival and development
