Tenders are invited for Consultancy- Support for the Sante Faunique-One Health (OH) Program

Duration of the consultancy : From December 2022 to June 2023

Deadline for submission of tenders : November 15, 2022

Scope of consultancy : WCS seeks a consultant to support and develop the Wildlife Health Program (WHP) with the following main activities:

· Bibliographic review on zoonotic risks in the sub-region, and preferably in Congo. The synthesis will then be translated into a document adapted to a wider audience.

· Act as a focal point for the Sustainable Wildlife Management (SWM) One Health (OH) program

· Coordinate a study on Human / Bat interactions as part of the wildlife management program

· Finalize development of the Anthrax Biomeme

· Train field staff (10 pax) in the use of this Biomeme

· Support the development of an analysis laboratory in Bomassa / Ouesso and support the launch of analyzes

· Contribute to strategic thinking around the WCS Congo OH program, and the various analyzes needed to be carried out (Ndoki Likouala, droppings, flies, etc.)

· Contribute to the successful implementation of the International Health Alliance project

With as deliverables:

· Zoonoses bibliographic review and leaflet accessible to the general public, French (approximately 20 man-days) - Deadline end of January 2023

· Minutes of SWM OH Coordination meetings, French/English (approximately 1 meeting / month) - Deadline 5 days after the end of the meetings

· Biomeme Anthrax Field Protocol, French - Deadline February 28, 2023

· Training report for the use of Biomeme Anthrax, French - Deadline February 28, 2023

· Roadmap for the commissioning of the laboratory - end of consultancy

· Analysis report of the human-bat interaction study - end of consultancy

· Training material for field teams for the collection of bat samples, French - Deadline end of consultancy.
