How can you make a difference?

The specific activities will be implemented with direct support of the national ENAP consultant and costing consultant. These include:

· Desk review of available literature, strategies, tools, evaluations and reports related to new-born costing experiences as well as current health spending on new born

· Consultations with UNICEF at Regional Office and Country Office level to identify sources of information, gaps in information, key informant's potential partners collaborating agencies and other possible sources of information for documentation of best practices

· Develop a conceptual framework for the costing, draft the tools and assessment methodologies in accordance with global ENAP guidelines

· Review the bottleneck and situational analysis workshop report

· Work closely with the WHO and MoHs responsible for RMNCAH strategic plan to ensure newborn action plan is costed whether as a standalone or integrated plan;

· Finalize and share the final costed NBA with the consultants and UNICEF staff

· In collaboration with the national and international consultants, participate at the validation workshop to validate the costed newborn action plan including methods and tools used

· Provide inputs towards the finalization of the newborn action plan monitoring tool

· Participate in debriefing with UNICEF management, MoH and relevant stakeholders;

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

· Advanced University degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, economics or business management. Masters in health economics will be of added value.

· More than 5 years of work experience in costing and budgeting health programs.

· Work experience in development of ENAP policies, strategies and training guidelines.

· Excellent communication skills, including written and oral presentations.

· Good team player with ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.

· Creative thinking, drive for results and strong commitments.

· Good inter-personal relationship even in diverse work environment.

· Work experience in Somalia is an added advantage

· Language: Fluency in one UN language (English)
