Renewal of Dresden-Neustadt freight station The existing systems in the inner-city part of the Dresden-Neustadt Gbf station (route 6246 km 0.4-2.5) are to be completely renovated in a total closure in the years 2027-2029. With that on 5 tracks reduced and extended track plan to 740m usable length and the equipment adapted to it (including approx. 240 lighting masts, approx. 5.5km of chainwork, point heating, fiber optic cable for new connection of the ESTW to the UZ DN and telecommunications equipment, module building and Switches) the requirements of modern freight transport are to be implemented. The project complex also includes the technically separate EÜ Erfurter Straße (taking into account the applicable monument protection) and EÜ Harkortstraße (under Taking into account the crossing tram), as well as a total of approx. 300m of retaining walls and approx. 500m of partially transparent noise protection wall.
