Solar thermal technology Civil engineering To supply heat to the city of Mühlhausen/Thuringia, the client operates various systems for the generation and distribution of district heating, including extensive district heating networks. In the course of the energy transition and for substitution fossil heat generation - in particular district heating generated with natural gas CHP - the AG has made the decision to build a solar thermal open-space system at the Lehmgrube site in the Mühlhausen district (corridor 16, parcels 107/30 and 344/106). to build the associated heat transfer station (WÜST). The legal basis for planning is the project-related development plan No. VEP-38 "Solar thermal energy and geothermal energy northwest of the municipal utilities" of the city of Mühlhausen, which includes a special area "Solar and geothermal energy".
