Terranets bw GmbH (terranets bw) is planning a future-proof expansion of its existing natural gas network. the “Spessart-Odenwald Line (SPO)”. The planned natural gas transport pipeline with a total length of approx. 117 kilometers (DN 1000, DP 90 bar). by the federal state of Hesse and the Free State of Bavaria. The route is largely based on the route of the existing MIDAL central-Germany connection line. In the federal state of Hesse and the Free State of Bavaria, the SPO runs from north to south through the Districts of Main-Kinzig, Aschaffenburg, Offenbach, Darmstadt-Dieburg and Bergstrasse. The overall SPO project was divided into four planning approval sections: - Section Hessen-Nord (PLA) o from SP 0+000 to approx. SP 35+090, or from the location of Wirtheim (municipality of Biebergemünd) - location Klein-Auheim (city of Hanau) o length approx. 35.1 km - section Hessen-Mitte (PLB) o from approx km - Hesse-South section (PLC) o from SP 83+220 to approx.
