Tenders are invited for Construction Of The Muzizi Hydropower Project implemented under an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) arrangement.
Financing

Project implementation is to be financed by the following:

1. KFW Development Bank. Genneny

2. Agence irangaise dc developpement (AFB), France

3. Republic cl Uganda

Prolect Facilities:

The approx. 45 MW Muzizi i-lPP is located in Western Uganda 43 the Muzizi River 6km south-east of Lake Albert. The diversion hydroelectric project has a gross head of 460 m and a discharge of approx.12 mils; it consists of the following main facilities:

Access roads, operator's housing, infrastructure

Concrete weir structure and reservoir.

3 to 4 km long concrete head race channel (alternatives presently under consideration include a buried pipe and a tunnel/shalt)

Surge bay I surge chamber Approx. 1km steel penstock, diameter approx. 2 m.

Powerhouse containing 2 to 3 Pelton turbine/generator sets and tailrace channel

High voltage switchyard and 6 km transmission line

Balance oi Plant
