Expression of Interest are invited for Construction of a Joint Border Post.

1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDB online AfDB137-06/12 of 19 June 2012 on-line and on the African Development Bank Group-s Internet Website.(www.afdb.org)

2. The Government of The Gambia has received a grant from the African Development Bank (ADF) toward the cost of the Trans-Gambia Corridor Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to eligible payments under the contract for construction of a Joint Border Post.

3. The Government through its executing agency National Roads Authority intends to invite contractors for the Construction of a Joint Border Post. The project sites are located in the areas of Lower River Region LRR (South Bank of the Gambia River) and/or North Bank Region NBR (North Bank of the Gambia River) (hereinafter called “the Works”). International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Bank's Rules and Procedures for Procurement of Goods and Works. The works shall comprise of: the approximate area of the two markets is two hectares a number of 75 stalls at LRR market and 75 stalls at NBR. Also to be included are the associated drainage and ancillary works as well as environment and social mitigation measures.

4. 5. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested bidders upon the submission of a written application to the said Executing Agency, and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of GMD 10, 000.00 (Ten thousand dalasi) or in a freely convertible currency.

6. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions are the provisions of the African Development Bank-s Standard Bidding Document for Procurement of Works.

7. Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 2:00pm on 11th March 2019 and must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount equivalent to 2% or GMD 3, 000, 000.00.

8. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders- representatives who choose to attend at 2:30pm on 11th March 2019, at the following address; Boardroom, National Roads Authority, Berthil Harding Highway, Bijilo, West Coast Region, The Gambia
