Construction of a battery storage system at the Aachen-Eilendorf location As part of the expansion of a climate-friendly and stable energy system, STAWAG Energie is planning to start operating stationary battery storage systems. This development is in the In line with the strategic goal of supplying the city and city region of Aachen entirely from renewable energies. To achieve this goal, a battery storage system with an output of approximately 15 MW and a capacity of approximately 30 is required MWh (C rate 0.5) planned at the Aachen-Eilendorf location. This should correspond to the legal requirements and the current state of the art. Upon request, the client will provide interested applicants with further information about the project in the form of a Site plan ready. Interested applicants can only request this supplementary site plan by sending an applicant message via the website mentioned in section 5.1.11. STAWAG Energie is planning to set up a battery storage system with one output of approx. 15 MW and a capacity of approx. 30 MWh (C rate 0.5) at the Aachen-Eilendorf location. This should correspond to the legal requirements and the current state of the art. A grid connection commitment from Regionetz GmbH for 14, 904 MW on the 20th kV level is present.
