Combi spreader for winter operation
The spreader is to be mounted on the municipality's existing truck and used for salting selected municipal roads and areas. The municipality has good experience with salting the relevant areas the road sections and wants to continue this. However, the equipment that has been used to date has been old and had unstable uptime. The municipality's previous dry salt spreader has resulted in high salt consumption and has not produced the desired effect. In the previous winter season, the municipality used a rented spreader which was out of service on several occasions due to age and wear. This has affected operational safety and preparedness in winter operations. The purpose of the procurement is to ensure effective, operationally reliable and environmentally sound control of slippery roads. The equipment must contribute to precise dosing and better utilization of salt, high operational regularity, good preparedness and documentation of carried out spreading. The equipment must be used by personnel at Municipal Engineering, Department of Construction and Road Operations. Description of the assignment The procurement concerns the purchase of one new combi spreader for installation on the municipality's existing truck, Scania 500 with registration number PD64307. An alternative offer for one specific used combi spreader is also open. The spreader must be able to handle dry salt and moistened salt.
