The remaining rooms are reserved for the care staff, functional and circulation areas. The stables are an individual monument and part of the so-called "Edelhof" in Gröningen, which was built in the 18th and 19th centuries. After successful renovation work on the northern part (approx. 45 m) of the building into a daycare center in 2021, a youth welfare facility will now follow in the middle part (approx. 44 m). The last vacant part of the building is still in private hands and has been taken over by the municipality of Gröningen intended. The total length of the stable is approx. 130 meters. The outer walls of the building are approx. 62 cm thick and made of solid natural quarry stone.
