The city of Regensburg was selected as a model project for smart cities in Germany ("MPSC") and receives funding from the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Building. Furthermore, the city of Regensburg is a member of the Civitas Connect association and part of the development community of Civitas/Core. This development community from several cities and municipal utilities develops an urban data platform as an open source software. With this tender, the city of Regensburg would like to contribute to the further development of Civi-Tas/Core. Urban data platforms should be one realize basic part of the data infrastructure in urban rooms. They serve to connect a variety of heterogeneous data sources, to establish rights management for data use and to provide data via standardized interfaces. Civitas/Core provides the core an urban data platform. The aim of this award is the further development of Civitas/Core version 1. Civitas/Core is available for free use under an open source license. The development community around Civitas/Core plans the further development of this in various areas Software. In the course of this allocation, the connectivity of Civitas/Core is to be expanded by integrating various components that are necessary to implement Smart City Use Cases as optionally usable add-ons into civitas/core.
