In 2025, the city of Ingelfingen received a Gigabit 2.0 funding notice for the federal government's operator model with co-financing from the state of Baden-Württemberg. Due to the funding requirements, the Construction will begin on April 28, 2027 at the latest. The object is the awarding of construction-related planning and engineering services and construction services for the construction of a broadband network infrastructure in the city of Ingelfingen. The city of Ingelfingen received in 2025 a Gigabit 2.0 funding notice for the federal government's operator model with co-financing from the state of Baden-Württemberg. Due to the funding requirements, construction must begin by April 28, 2027 at the latest. Based on market research, a total of 785 eligible address points identified. The present master planning envisages the construction of around 41, 000 meters of new route as well as the construction of 28 additional RVts and 9 POPs.
