Large parts of the city of Bad Münstereifel were severely affected by the heavy rain and flood events in July 2021. A large part of the urban area with its narrow valleys was affected by floods, very dynamic runoff, landslides and Rubble and sedimentary stone removal and discharge are severely affected. The events in July 2021 led to extensive damage to the city archives. A wide range of archive holdings such as files, documents, slides, Glass plate negatives, photographs, books and maps as well as the database. The aim of the service requested here is to restore the damaged archive material. The overall concept aims to ensure the conservation status is as complete as possible Restoring the storability of the archive materials. City archives - restoration of archive material The following partial services are awarded: 1. Transport and storage: Professional transport of the archive material from the cold store in Troisdorf to the place of performance and after processing in the interim archive. 2. Vacuum freeze-drying: Carrying out vacuum freeze-drying of the archive material. 3. Damage recording: Systematic documentation of the damage pattern of each individual archival material in a web-based database, differentiated according to the type and extent of the damage. 4.
