In Project 1015, high-resolution images of the individual layers of a chip are produced using a well-known open source design. The image data is shared with other important data such as the underlying netlist, the VHDL code and a minimal open source framework e.g. published on github under a free license as a benchmark in order to give security researchers from industry, business, science and authorities access and the opportunity to use the data to develop their Test reverse engineering approaches.
