In July 2006, the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Raw Materials (BGR) signed a contract for the exploration of manganese nollections in the northeastern Pacific with the International Sea Board Authority (IMB) and has since been running in its license area in the Clarion Clipperon Broken Zone (CCZ)Resource estimates as well as Baseline and Impact environmental investigations. As part of an upcoming exploration trip in the eastern part of the BGR license area, the BGR intends toCharter of an underwater diving robot (Remotely Operated Vehicle, ROV) for the entire duration of the trip. The expedition is carried out under the password manganese 2026 and has three essential goals:-extensive environmental monitoring of an area in which in May 2021 in a test of the collector prototypePatania II of the Belgian company Global Sea Resources (GSR) Manganks are dismantled. The test area of Patania II and the control reference area are to be visited again about five years after the disorder and tested and examined in detail; - Comprehensive biogeochemical evaluation ofTrace elements, macronutrients as well as oxygen and carbon concentrations in the entire water column and on the sediment-water border area; - Sampling and fauna analyzes in spatially far (20-100 km) from each other away. Above all, the ROV should be carried out:(1) Video-controlled megauna mapping and testing, (2) Targeted sampling of the floor sediments ("push-coring"), (3) Positioning, activation and recovery of oxygen measuring devices (micropofilers) and Benthische Chambers by the sea floor, and (4) in situ Oekotoxicity experiment. The operating areascomprise water depths between 4000 and a maximum of 4500 meters. The collected rehearsals and data as well as the image material along predefined sea floor transformations will find knowledgelie...
