Carrying out bat-scientific surveys, designing training materials and subject-related training as well as developing measures Creation of technical foundations for the long-term effective safeguarding and improvement of conservation status of the four target species mentioned above as well as other forest bats: The aim of the service is to carry out field surveys in Brandenburg, Hesse, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia as well as on areas of the National Natural Heritage (NNE) / the Federal Institute for Real estate tasks (BImA), the conception and supervision of the implementation of protective measures in Hesse as well as on NNE/BImA areas and the conception and implementation of a specialist training program in Brandenburg, Hesse, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia as well as on NNE/BImA areas as a contribution to the implementation of the joint project. For this purpose, appropriate bat and forest ecological data must be collected, documented and evaluated in the field. They are shared with landowners and Forestry service providers to develop concepts for measures and to accompany and document their implementation. Furthermore, extensive educational materials on the topic of “bat protection in the forest” must be developed and training courses prepared to carry out.
