As part of strengthening the compliance of national legislation with international labor standards (ILS), the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has engaged in a process of ratification of certain labor conventions. the International Labor Organization (ILO), with a view to improving labor market governance and promoting the decent work agenda in the country. The choice of targeted conventions takes into account, on the one hand, the need to consolidate the framework national legal framework in certain specific areas of work, as well as priorities defined at the level of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) of which the country is a member, and, on the other hand, recommendations made by the Council Board of Directors of the International Labor Office (ILO). In order to facilitate this ratification process, the Government is setting up an interministerial committee which will work under the direction of the Ministry of Labor. This committee will be responsible for evaluating compliance of the national legal and institutional framework with the requirements of the targeted conventions. In support of the efforts of the Government of the DRC, the ILO is looking for a consultant responsible for conducting ratificability studies, in collaboration with the interministerial committee and under the coordination of the Ministry of Labor.
