Dear bidder, The International Labor Office (ILO) is looking for a person to carry out work as an external collaborator. Below you will find a summary of the tasks to be accomplished: The ILO is looking for a Design Engineer specialized in the High Labor Intensity Approach (HIMO) to carry out the Detailed Preliminary Project (DPD) study of the construction works. rehabilitation of a section of rural road of approximately 2, 400 meters in Gado, in the Commune of Garoua-Boulai. The mission is part of a joint ILO-UNHCR project to Strengthen the social cohesion of refugees and host communities. The Engineer will be responsible for leading the technical, socio-economic and organizational studies necessary in order to have a complete and directly usable ODA file. He/she must in particular: • diagnose the condition of the road and its structures and propose appropriate rehabilitation solutions; • analyze the zone of influence and assess the availability of local labor, particularly among refugees and host communities; • identify materials, equipment and other local resources that can be mobilized; that the appropriate articulation between manual work and mechanization; • develop plans, measurements, technical specifications, cost estimates and provisional planning of the works; • constitute the doss...
