Project description: The fire brigade -technical center (FTZ) of the city of Norderstedt is located in the Harksheide district at Stormarnstrasse 2. In 2003 it was built on the grounds of the former Stondsdorferei (liqueur distillation). Currently in the FTZ building complex next to the office of the fire brigade, the local defense Harksheide and youth fire brigade as well as facilities of the disaster protection and the city archive. Furthermore, on the property of the FTZ there are the Tafel Norderstedt and an apartment building of the fire brigade and a warehouse. Since the full -time occupation The FTZ was converted into a professional defense on July 1, 2022, a new planning is now required. In order to determine the framework conditions and requirements for a new building, a feasibility study was created in 2024 (see Appendix 1-03). As a result, the spatial program became determined as the basis of further planning and the fundamental feasibility in construction phases on the previous site. The alternative locations examined were rejected. The concept approach developed in the study is not necessarily the basis for further planning. As part of the votes on the feasibility study, it was also clarified that access to the site is only possible via Stormarnstrasse or the protege. The green area on the site towards Schleswig-Holstein Strasse must be preserved. Space for the city archive, the Tafel And the apartments no longer have to be taken into account on the property. Basically, all existing buildings on the property are on the disposition.
