The municipality of Gemmingen with the Stebbach district is located about 16 km west of Heilbronn in the northeastern Kraichgau and is part of the Heilbronn district. Fire brigades "have joined together and decided to bundle their emergency services and equipment at a common fire service location. This requires a new fire brigade building in a location that is favored to both districts.
