The VDV eTicket Service (VDV-ETS) is responsible for the German public transport standard “(((eTicket Deutschland”). This provides the technical and organizational platform for the operation of interoperable electronic ticketing in public Passenger transport in Germany. In addition to the creation and publication of the technical standard, the establishment of organizational rules for participants and the testing of components used, VDV-ETS also operates central infrastructure for the (((eTicket-Deutschland participating transport companies and associations.
