A research and development center is being built on the 500 hectare area Industrial park for urban technologies: Berlin TXL Urban Tech Republic and a new residential district: the Schumacher Quarter. The state of Berlin has commissioned the Tegel Project GmbH with the development and management of the Urban Tech Republic and the Schumacher Quarter.
