The objective of the Wave2O project is to deploy a reverse-osmosis desalination plant powered solely by wave energy at Praia Grande on the Island of Sao Vicente.
RME is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from firms qualified to conduct bathymetric surveys and geotechnical analyses (the “Services”) prior to the deployment of RME’s Wave2O™ systems at the Praia Grande site. The Services include: a) conducting a seabed survey of the Praia Grande site with the goal of selecting: (i) an optimal location for the wave energy conversion devices; and (ii) an optimal route for the hoses that connect the wave energy conversion devices with onshore infrastructure; and b) conducting a geotechnical survey to provide data that will be used in the determination of an appropriate mooring / foundation system for the wave energy conversion devices. The Services also include recommending equipment purchases necessary to conduct the bathymetric and geotechnical surveys and training.
