According to Section 8 Paragraph 3 of the Passenger Transport Act (PBefG), complete accessibility in public transport will be required by January 1, 2022. The Berlin Mobility Act (MobG), passed in July 2018, also provides for barrier-free mobility in Section 31 Paragraph 1 Design of stops and safe access routes as fundamental requirements for access to public transport and refers to the PBefG and the Berlin Local Transport Plan (NVP). There are around 230 in the Berlin tram network in mid-December 2021 Directional stops are not barrier-free. The Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), AöR - hereinafter referred to as the client (AG) - intends with this tender to provide planning services for the basic repair (GI) of the track systems, new construction and Repair of four directional stops to be awarded. The planned scope of the project includes approx. 1200 m of single track from the Torstrasse/Prenzlauer Allee junction to Rosenthaler Platz plus switches and track curves to Alte Schönhauser Strasse Junction U Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz.
