To replace existing but missing ballistic insert plates, 12, 616 new ballistic insert plates are required.
ballistic plates VPAM 6+
The ballistic plates must have the bullet-resistant properties of body armor when worn stand-alone according to test level VPAM 6. The following test guidelines are binding: VPAM APR-2006, as of May 12, 2010, or guideline VPAM BSW-2006, as of 5-2009, or each with the latest version. An additional triple special fire from a rifle with a caliber of 7.62 x 51 mm (full jacket, Pointed-nosed bullet, soft core) at a firing angle of 90 degrees must not lead to penetration, so that the VPAM 6+ test standard is achieved. The ballistic plates must be made of a technical, high-strength, weight-optimized plastic and are manufactured in the standard SAPI M cut. The Panels must fit into the existing panel supports, must not weigh more than 1, 100 grams as an individual panel and have a maximum permissible weight per square meter of 14.9 kilograms per square meter. The panels are delivered centrally in Braunschweig.
