The overall measure includes the new construction of the B 64/B 83 between Brakel/Hembsen and Höxter, including the relocation of the B 83 with a connection to the newly built B 64. The aim of the project is the efficient and Future-proof integration of transport axes into the supra-regional road network. In the future, the B 64 will take on a central function as the main traffic axis, while the relocated B 83 will be connected to it and its network function will be adapted accordingly becomes. The measure will particularly improve the quality of traffic in the local areas of Höxter/Ottbergen and Höxter/Godelheim and will reduce the burden on existing through-town routes.
