Tender Details

Due to the age and increasing difficulties in obtaining spare parts for the 31-year-old relay signal box, it was decided to replace it with a new signal box. At the same time, the outdated filament lamp signals and audio frequency track circuits in the tunnel areareplaced by modern systems in order to ensure the supply of spare parts in the future.

Specialist planning services of the technical equipment service profile in the sense of § 55 HOAI in conjunction with Appendix 15.1 are advertised in service phases 1-8, which are to be commissioned in the following 3 stageslen:

• LPH 1-3 complete

• LPH 4-7 complete

• LPH 8 complete

moBiel GmbH operates the BBVG light rail network, with four main lines. The route changes at the end points of the linesdirection either via turning loops or sweeping systems. The tracks of the Bielefeld city railway are in meter gauge and in the tunnel area, selective train control using coupling coils is used. The central relay signal box of the Bielefeld light rail network controls an area of ​​approx.10 kilometers of double track, which is used by all lines.
